Aims and scope

The Journal of the Egyptian Public Health Association (JEPHA) aims to advance the knowledge and practice of public health at large through publishing research that seeks solutions to the challenges encountered by public health providers as well as policy makers. It publishes research in the full spectrum of public health and community medicine fields, including, epidemiology, health management, biostatistics, occupational and environmental health, family health, nutrition, and tropical health. The journal gives priority to research that has a greater public health impact such as studies reporting the development of effective interventions, program evaluation, as well as innovative types of research such as implementation research. In addition, JEPHA has particular interest in publishing manuscripts addressing emerging health problems and those focusing on Egyptian strategic health priorities.

JEPHA publishes only two studies based on secondary analysis per volume, preferably to be national data. In addition, papers that examine local health problems and interventions that are highly context-specific and culture-sensitive will not normally be considered for publication.

JEPHA welcomes the following types of articles: research articles, review articles, short reports, editorials, and letters to the editor. We welcome high-quality contributions from authors worldwide. Papers that are not sufficiently comprehensible due to poor English quality will not be considered for peer review.
